What we’re identifying this year is that companies are ‘sensitive’ since Covid-19 and although all the signs are good for 2021, priorities have changed. With ongoing furlough schemes and a reduced workforce, companies are now having to think even more strategically and work more efficiently without overloading the cherished staff they have.
35 hours p/m reduced to under an hour!
The Logistics company we are working with, approached us initially, as they were obviously getting ‘snowed under’ with work, but they had reduced office staff to comply with covid restrictions – so a less staff, more workload scenario, and remote working challenges. We looked further into the bottlenecks they identified, to find any that could be automated. For example, they were manually entering data from spreadsheets and they estimated that that takes one person 35 hours p/m. The technology that we have implemented will now allow them to simplify the process to under an hour a week! It will also avoid the mistakes and duplications which sometimes happen with manual handling – the task is now risk-averse, and it is saving them around £500 pcm. Whatever platform you use, does not necessarily matter, as Microsoft and Azure technologies will replicate a servers services and solutions and do the heavy lifting. We also leveraged Power Automate to ‘do what it says on the tin’ and automate repetitive tasks which was minimum setup.
I will just give you an insight on the pricing for this, as you might be about it dismiss it as too costly. Power Automate is part of Dynamics 365 license, so we can leverage all this capability from one Licence and add a pay as you go offering for Azure services, so you get the very best solution keenly priced and you are only paying for what you use. These licenses/subscriptions are paid monthly, so you are not tied into a lengthy contract. You can cancel at a months’ notice. Microsoft are also reducing all App prices, with most 50% cheaper from October 2021.
