MICROSOFT DYNAMICS 365 & Power Platform IMPLEMENTATION

Whatever your need or budget, we have an option that will work for you.

Implementation Options

Typical Implementation

This covers the full life cycle of a project which includes Discovery, Implementation, Data Migration, Training and Go Live services

Hybrid Implementation

If you're keen to get hands on exposure to Dynamics we can work as an extension to your team to design, guide and assist with your project.

Quick
Implementation

Usually a small project of around 5 days focusing on using the standard product which typically includes a small amount of config, simple data import and user training

Not sure which option suites your needs? give us a call and we’ll get you on the right path

Typical Implementation

Although we can work in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies, the majority of customers still prefer a waterfall approach which we are going to describe here.

Each phase contains many tasks but at a high level they include

1. Discovery Phase

Discovery workshops are carried out with the core members of the appropriate departments who will be utilising Dynamics as the replacement platform; these workshops aim to capture the teams current process and activities, understand any pains and identify improvements through utilising the Microsoft Dynamics standard features and other products from the Microsoft stack.

If a data migration is required then we will also carry out a discovery to determine what data will be migrated, what if any rules are needed and a mapping between the source and target system.

Once we have captured all of the requirements, the solution details will be transferred into a Solution Design Document and together with a Project Costing document provide the customer an accurate  project cost along with a list of licenses needed and support options.

The client will review the documents and can decide to prioritise some areas and push some items to future phases if desired.

2. Execution Phase

Once the customer has reviewed the Solution Design document and agreed to continue with the project we then enter the execution phase where the build starts, this typically includes:

 – Purchase a small number of licenses and provision the environment

 – Setup any standard integrations with Office 365 i.e. SharePoint, Exchange etc

 – Carry out configurations / Development

 – Build any Integrations

 – Build data migration maps and carry out initial data migration

 – Continual testing

Weekly catch up’s with the client showing the solution build progress allows the client to further see how the solution will work for them and provides the opportunity for feedback and changes to be made as the build progresses.

3. User Acceptance Testing

User Acceptance Testing or UAT is an opportunity for the client to test the system and make sure the solution meets their needs and works as described in the Solution Design document.

Although you will already be familiar with the solution from the many weekly updates and solution walk throughs will still work with you and guide you through the testing phase of the project.

The data migration will also be tested ensuring all necessary records have been migrated, rules followed and the source data now resides in the correct target locations.

Any items that fail will be logged on an issue log, resolved and returned back to the team for re-testing.

Once the customer is happy with the solution then we will progress to transition and Go Live.

4. Transition

As we approach Go Live, there are still a number of activities to complete, these include:

 – Agreeing Go Live plan and timelines

 – Set up remaining users

 – Training other members of the Team

 – Carrying out Admin Training for power users

 – Carry out a delta data migration (changes made since the previous export)

We are on hand to support you through the Go Live and into support once you have fully transitioned into the system.

Hybrid Implementation

You may already have a resource internally who knows a little about Microsoft Dynamics 365 and would like to work along side the team to help implement the solution; this maybe to save money on the project or to enable the business to take over the internal maintenance of the platform once the solution has been implemented.

We hear this a lot and can absolutely work together in different areas of the project where they feel comfortable.

Quick Implementation

Who would this work for? well quick implementations are for those businesses who just need a CRM system to capture the typical type of Client, Contact, Sales type data; who want some basic data imported and some user training to get them on the right road.

Every client is different and we will provide a quote per customer but these items typically include:

 – System Setup

 – Basic Config

 – Basic data import

 – User Training

This sort of basic setup can be achieved in 5 days at a cost of £4,250 + VAT
