Microsoft have built out and released an accelerator specific to the insurance sector which is aimed at property, casualty and life insurance. The accelerator is intended to help insurers with preconfigured core areas that include pre-built applications for policy management, claims, customer onboarding, and customer service.

Insurers will be enabled to quickly build new applications, as the infrastructure is already configured to encompass the aspects needed for customer, insurer and broker. For example, the broker model has built-in structure but is flexible enough that it can be tweaked using configuration – thus enabling rapid deployment.
