In 2019 Teams had 20M users, and now in 2021 there are 145M users. Microsoft have recognised the importance of Teams and this year at Microsoft Ignite, they announced new advances for the Teams app which will integrate it further into our workflows.
People rely on Teams to call, chat, meet and collaborate, so Teams in reality, has become the new front end. Since Covid 19 Microsoft have dramatically advanced the capabilities of the Teams environment as they understand the future Teams represents in a hybrid working world. The main capability that will revolutionise hybrid working, is that Teams is now integrated with Dynamics 365 and Power Platform. This means you can stay within the Teams environment, and draw on the data you need from your CRM whilst communicating with your colleagues – it brings an end to living in email streams, where sharing files to more than one colleague is difficult, and easy to lose track of. Teams embodies the collaborative experience enabling you to work synchronously and asynchronously across Teams and other Apps. Microsoft listened to feed-back and decided it was only natural to make it data rich for teams of users, as this speeds up workflows, which in turn will enhance how you deal with your customers.
Teams has 300 new features
In the video you’ll see how Teams now integrates with OneNote, Outlook and White board. You can also tap into new layouts in Rooms, including Front Row, which has galleries at the bottom of the screen so remote participants can be face to face with those in the room.
